Our goal is to provide you with exactly the services you need—and not a lick more.
Too often we’ve seen organizations shy away from a creative, innovative opportunity because they were afraid the services component would become a costly sink hole that would not only kill the project but could also impair the organization’s sustainability. As one client said “I can afford the technology. It’s the dancing lessons for the rest of my life that kill the deal.” At the same time, innovative solutions often require skills and expertise that either isn’t available within the organization or where those who have the skills are already so stretched that nothing more can be added to their plate. Our goal is to solve that problem.
We offer services in three areas:
Often our client management teams see the broad writing on the wall—a new law, regulation, Evidence-based practice or technology, that could have a huge positive impact on their organization and their industry, but the details are too uncertain. The risk of the unknown, too great. The questions vary, from what exactly does the law or regulation allow or require? What exactly does the evolving evidence-based practice guide us to do? How can we leverage technology to maximize outcomes and reduce risk? What is the revenue model? What are the risks? What impact will this have on our workflow? What’s in it for our participants?
These are some of the questions that we help address. Most often, we’re not the lead in these analyses. We usually work closely with a champion within the organization providing skilled services to address specific questions. We often serve as a sort of secretary for team meetings, taking notes and authoring draft statements of work. It is truly a collaborative process.
As a company, we really try to minimize the need for paid solution design and implementation services. Our entire approach is to empower our clients through our configurable proVizor platform supported by our community of users and experts. Our patent pending proVizor Configuration Wizard begins with an interview process that guides you to your solution design, then allows you to configure our proVizor platform to fulfill that design.
However, no matter how well we accomplish our goal of self-service, there will always be a need for solution design services. Most often, this involves automating processes for referral or information exchange. At a basic level, that might mean exchanging information from an EHR or HIE either to or from the proVizor platform. Or, it might mean coordinating workflows between physical health, behavioral health and social supports. This is at the heart of our mission to break down the walls between the silos of care. Our technology designers and developers have deep skills for this kind of integration and collaborative solution design and implementation.
Research underpins everything we do. If existing studies do not answer a question, we’ll work to fill that gap. Our research projects include basic or foundational research, often conducted through our collaboration with Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) through their graduate health informatics technology program under Dr. Josette Jones, as well as applied research, where we work with clients to address the implications of specific technology-enabled evidence based practices.
