Rough Timeline for the proVizor mHealth Project
Phase 1 – Business Requirements Development
November 1 to December 31, 2019:
We will prepare a business requirements analysis and a return-on-investment (ROI) model in response to recent legislative and regulatory changes relating to patient engagement and care collaboration. We will conduct surveys and interviews of industry leaders in both health care and social care. We will also include discussions with Medicaid managed care organizations (MCO) and Medicare Advantage (MA) organizations representing the payer side. The resulting paper will document the business requirements and ROI model for evidence-based practice for each Care Unit as well as regulatory and payer reporting requirements.
Phase 2–Technology Overview
January 1 to March 31, 2020
In phase 2, we will define the overall workflow requirements and build a mock-up of the application screens and workflow, to build a common understanding of the broad technology requirements and approach.
Phase 3 – Functional Requirements Development
April 1 to June 30, 2020:
We will prepare a functional requirements analysis that expresses the workflow needs among and between health and social care organizations. We will focus on the variations in how organizations implement evidence-based practice to ensure that the proVizor Configuration Wizard allows user/administrators to develop their own technology-enabled workflows. We will also engage patients, clients and caregivers to guide the configuration of the user experience. Our focus will be to establish detailed design requirements for the proVizor Care Platform and the proVizor Configuration Wizard, so that providers will be able to achieve the ideal technology-enabled work flow without the need for costly consulting or programming services.
Phase 3 – Prototype Testing and Quality Assurance
July 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020
We will test and evaluate the new version of the proVizor platform. Participants will be asked to interact with the systems and training materials using test data, to identify areas that need refinement to achieve the ideal experience for both clinicians and users. This will include the proVizor Marketplace, where organizations can view themes and templates from other organizations and select them as the foundation for their own workflows. The objective will be to make certain that every business and functional requirement has been met and the user experience achieves the goal of simplicity and value.
Phase 4 – Go live and first two years of roll-out and growing to scale
October 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 (approximate dates)
Around July 1, the proVizor care platform will be made generally available to the public. Participants in the proVizor Telehealth Community Project will be have access to Care Units according to their Community Agreement at no additional cost. A conference/workshop will be conducted around the time of the launch with semi-annual meetings thereafter.
Participation expectations:
For the first phase (November 1 to December 31) participants will be expected to respond to surveys and written questions, with occasional participation in group meetings. The student and proVizor teams will meet online every Saturday morning. Health and social care colleagues are invited but not required to attend. All progress and draft documents will be recorded online through a forum or wiki.
