Measuring the Association between food/housing insecurity and health status: An analysis using the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.

Studies show that food and housing insecurity associates with poor health. But, quantifying these relationships is difficult. In this study, we used data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, an annual cross-sectional survey of health and social behaviors, to measure the association between people who always/usually, sometimes or rarely/never worry about having enough money for food or housing and self-reported health status.
